Freshly Pressed #3

I’m honored and totally surprised to have Brooklyn Bliss chosen for WordPress’ Freshly Pressed  for a third time!  I kind of don’t know what to say, because I was never expecting to be chosen twice never mind three times.

If you are new to my site, here’s a recap of the last two times.  My first time was for a post at the time I thought was pretty silly raving about my Kindle.  Second time was about a year ago for one of my outfit posts.

Thanks again to WordPress for choosing me for this honor again, as well as to everyone who commented, liked, and started following Brooklyn Bliss after checking out the High Line Extension post.

Freshly Pressed #2

Absolutely cannot believe Brooklyn Bliss was selected by WordPress for Freshly Pressed… again!

I was totally taken by surprise this morning seeing my face on their homepage. How bizarre. Last time I was featured it was for a blog rant I had raving about my Kindle. My cat Mercedes had the pleasure of being the featured photo. It’s fun for me now to be featured for a random post I did on what I was wearing… albeit it what I was wearing on a day I couldn’t remember what the hell I did that day. Facinating material. I’m sure I’ll always remember this outfit now though.

Thanks again to WordPress, the WordPress blogging community, and all my new readers.

So yesterday I was stuck in a meeting most of the day at work.  I get out of the meeting and start going through email, and notice I have an immense amount of email in my Gmail account.  I normally don’t get a whole lot of Gmail, and when I click the icon in my Outlook all the emails say “[Brooklyn Bliss] Please Moderate ‘I Kan Haz Kindle Plz?'”.

What. The. Heck?

At first I thought it was some kind of spammer scam gone haywire, but as I started to go through all the comments, they were all real and legit.  Then I noticed another email buried amongst all the other ones signed by a WordPress Editor that read:

Congrats! Your post ( https://brooklynbliss.wordpress.com/2010/11/02/i-kan-haz-kindle-plz/ ) has been promoted to Freshly Pressed on WordPress.com. Keep up the good work!

Woah.  That explained all the comments!

Thanks so much to WordPress for featuring my thoughts on my new Kindle, as well as all the reader comments on books to add to my must read list.  Stay tuned for more posts on my reading material as well as whatever random thoughts that come to mind once completing them.
