It seems like it’s taken me all damn summer and into the first few days of fall to get this challenge up, but I’m proud to say I’m officially done! Here’s the final post with all thirty outfits. Enjoy!
The Grand Finale
7 Oct
{Shirt: H&M (husband’s); Shorts: H&M; Sandals: Alloy; Sunglasses: Payless; Watch: Michael Kors}
And here you have it, my 30th and final post of my summer 30 for 30 wardrobe challenge. I’m so happy I finally completed it and have it on the site. It’s funny though that as I write this, I’m wearing a sweater and boots now that it’s fall and here I am in this photo wearing shorts and sandals. Next time I have to not procrastinate and get these photos up and on the site within a few days of taking the photos. I have no excuse nowadays now that I have an iPad and it’s totes easy. That or make it a goal to finish the challenge within the allotted season.
Stay tuned tomorrow for a recap post including photos and links to all thirty outfits.
Almost Done
6 Oct{Tee: Forever21; Cardigan: Dolce and Gabbana (thrifted); Pants: Elle Tahari; Wedges: Dolce Vita for Target}
This week my main blogging goal is to finally finish my 30 for 30 Summer Challenge posts. It’s getting ridiculous now, I finished the challenge over the summer and here it is fall now and I still don’t have them all up. So consider my posting schedule out the window until I get this done, fo’ real.
Everyone have a fun week!
Striped Out
21 Sep
{Dress: H&M; Cardigan: Dolce and Gabbana (thrifted); Heels: Payless}
I’m finally back from Miami! We had a fantastic time and I can’t wait to finish up the mega blog post I have started on all we did and saw while there. It’s going to have tons of pictures and information to share, my favorite to share being all the vegan friendly eateries we visited.
In the meantime I’m totally wiped out. I got back from work on Monday, and yesterday was out of the office visiting clients and today having the worst work day ever. Crisis after crisis. Ugh. And next week I get back on a plane for a business conference in Annapolis, Maryland. So much for a vacation to chill me out! Now I have to plan another one.
So while I stress out today, you guys get to finally see number 28 of my 30 for 30 challenge. Only 2 more looks to go!
Denim on Denim
1 Sep{Chambray Shirt: Old Navy; Jeans: Victoria’s Secret; Camera Bag: THEIT; Watch: Michael Kors}
I know it’s taken me long enough, but here’s number 26 of my summer 30 for 30 challenge. I was originally planning on sucking it up and taking all the photos for my remaining four outfits this weekend, but then Irene ruined those plans. Damn you Irene!
Chiquita
21 Jul{Scarf: Cynthia Rowley via TJ Maxx; Shirt: H&M (husband’s); Jeans: Mavi; Sandals: Alloy}
For years I’ve tried to successfully pull off a headscarf and always felt more like a pirate than fashionable. Keiko Lynn did a great tutorial on how she ties her head scarves, so I figured I’d try it out and loved the results!
My hubby said I looked like the Chiquita Banana lady but then again, the last time he made fun of one of my outfits I ended up on MTV Style, so he has no credibility in my book.
Put a Vest On It
15 Jul
{Dress: H&M; Vest: H&M (thrifted); Wedges: Dolce Vita for Target; Cuff: H&M}
Have a dress you’re kinda “meh” about? Put a vest on it! Or a bird, if you’re from Portlandia.
Summer Stage
14 Jul
{Shirt: H&M (husband’s); Vest: H&M (thrifted); Wedges: Dolce Vita for Target; Cuff: H&M}
Let’s rewind back to day sixteen….
As promised, here’s my super late post on what I wore to Summer Stage. My friend Glenna and I went to go see Jim Gaffigan (my favorite comedian EVER) perform in Central Park.
Here’s what I wore.
Despite it taking me over an hour and half to get home from work (a drive that should only take 20 minutes) and then another 30 minutes to get to the park from my apartment, it was totally worth it. Once I had a beer in hand and some Asia Dogs, I was in the best mood ever. The weather as well as the scenery in the park couldn’t have been more perfect. It was the epitome of what summer nights should be.
As expected, Jim Gaffigan was hilarious and actually did some new material I hadn’t heard yet which totally made my night. His opener, a guy named John Pinette was pretty funny too though I he obviously has something against vegans. A good third of his act was devoted to how he’s confused about vegan diets and juicing appliances. Boo! Stuff like that makes me wish people would do their research first as to what something is all about prior to making public statements in front of thousands of people. Especially in this city which is full of vegans, vegetarians and eco and health minded residents! Lucky for him I’m a vegan that can laugh along and take stereotypes in stride and not personally. The rest of his act was still pretty funny and he did sound just like Gilbert Gottfried, so I guess I’ll give him a pass for stupidity.

July Fourth
11 Jul
{Army Jacket: Gift from Husband; Dress (worn as tank): H&M; Denim Shorts: H&M; Hat: Flea Market Find; Wedges: Dolce Vita for Target}
This is what I wore for the July Fourth holiday. We spent the holiday in the neighborhood with our friends at the local beer garden. The weather was gorgeous, though a little hot. From around 4 pm through after 10 pm, we enjoyed the beautiful weather, beers, food and good company. It was a perfect way to spend a summer holiday.
Knowing I was going to be outside in the sun all day, I broke this hat out of storage. I’m not one to usually wear hats but if I know I’m going to be in the sun all day I usually will. Especially at the beach, which I had gone to the day prior.
What did you do for the July Fourth holiday?
